PENGEMBANGAN MODUL APLIKASI KOMPUTER PENELITIAN BERBASIS PEMECAHAN MASALAH DAN KONTEKSTUAL

Abstrak

 

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul aplikasi komputer penelitian berbasis pemecahan masalah dan kontekstual yang valid, dan mengimplementasikannya dalam pembelajaran sehingga diperoleh pembelajaran yang praktis dan efektif. Data kevalidan diperoleh dari penilaian ahli, data kepraktisan diperoleh dari angket respon dan data observasi dosen dalam mengelola pembelajaran, sedangkan data keefektifan diperoleh dari data angket motivasi belajar, kemandirian belajar dan data tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa. Kevalidan dan kepraktian dianalisis dengan uji proporsi, sedangkan data tentang keefektifan diolah menggunakan uji one sample t test, uji regresi linier, dan uji independent sample t test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh: 1) modul yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, 2) data angket respon siswa dalam kategori sangat baik, dan kemampuan dosen dalam mengelola pembelajaran dalam kategori baik, sehingga dapat dikatakan pembelajaran memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan, 3) kemampuan pemecahan masalah secara statistik memenuhi batas ketuntasan yang ditentukan (65), motivasi belajar dan kemandirian belajar mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah sebesar 35,1%, dan kemampuan mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan modul aplikasi komputer berbasis pemecahan masalah dan kontektual lebih baik dari pada mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini dapat dikatakan bahwa pembelajaran efektif.

Abstract

 

This Research and Development was aimed at developing valid contextual and problem-based module of Operation Research and Computer Application which was then implemented in Mathematics education as an effort of creating practical and effective learning processes. It covers three measurements of module development. They are validity, practicality and effectiveness. The validity of the module development was from the experts’ assessment, the practicality of it was gained form the mathematics lecturers’ responses of a questionnaire and the observation of learning management, while the effectiveness of module usage was revealed from a questionnaire of students’ motivation, learning independency, and a problem solving test. The validity and practicality of the module were analyzed through a test of proportion, and the effectivity of it was processed using one sample t-test, linear regression analysis, and independent sample t-test. The results of the research showed that 1). The module content was valid, 2). The learning process in which the module was used fulfilled the practical criterion. The indicators are the students’ response toward the use of the module was good and the learning process was managed well, 3). The students’ ability in completing problem-based test reached the minimum criterion of learning mastery (65). A point to add is that the students’ learning motivation and independency gave positive effect on their ablity in problem-based with 35,1%. On a whole, the students, who joined lessons in which the contextual and problem-based module of Operation Research and Computer Application was used, had better abilities than those who learned the material without the module. It can be concluded that the learning process run effectively.
