• Jurnal Kebidanan is published by the Program Studi Kebidanan, Fakultas Ilmu Keperawatan dan Kesehatan, Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang, Indonesia. The first edition is Volume 1 Number 1 August, 2012. The writing style of Jurnal Kebidanan has been revised in several aspects, such as changing the abstract format and adding references. These changes were done in order to provide sufficient information so that the manuscript can be received, revised and then accepted. The secretariat of Jurnal Kebidanan was intially at Jalan Kedungmundu Raya No. 22, Semarang before moving to the NRC Building at Jalan Kedungmundu Raya No. 18, Semarang.
In 2017, the editorial board of Jurnal Kebidanan was reorganized twice to match with the peer-reviewers' competencies. Besides, there have been also some updates of journal indexers, including Google Scholar, Base, LIPI, and One Search.
