Abstract
Ekspresi emosi yang tidak wajar dan penyimpangan yang sangat dasar adalah tanda gangguan jiwa yang dikenal sebagai skizofrenia. Salah satu gejala skizofrenia adalah perilaku kekerasan yang dapat menyebabkan kehilangan kendali atas perilaku individu. Penanganan yang cepat dan tepat diperlukan yaitu salah satunya dengan menggunakan ikatan pada anggota tubuh yang dikenal sebagai restrain. studi untuk mengetahui efektivitas restrain terhadap penurunan perilaku kekerasan. menggunakan metode deskriptif studi kasus dengan pendekatan proses keperawatan, instrument yang digunakan yaitu tali kain dan lembar The Broset Violent Checklist (BVC). skor BVC pasien perilaku kekerasan perbedaan rerata skor BVC sebelum dan setelah restrain adalah 2,75, dengan nilai rerata skor BVC responden sebelum restrain adalah 4,25. Setelah restrain, skor BVC turun menjadi 1.50. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa restrain berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pasien skizofrenia dengan perilaku kekerasan di ruang Sadewa RSJD dr. Arif Zainudin Surakarta
