EFEKTIFITAS LATIHAN PROGRESSIVE MUSCLE RELAXATION (PMR) TERHADAP MUAL MUNTAH KEMOTERAPI PASIEN KANKER OVARIUM

Abstract

Kanker ovarium adalah tumor ganas pada ovarium yang paling sering ditemukan pada wanita berusia 50-70 tahun. Kanker ovarium bisa menyebar ke bagian lain, panggul, dan perut melalui sistem getah bening dan melalui sistem pembuluh darah menyebar ke hati dan paru-paru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas latihan Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) terhadap mual muntah kemoterapi klien kanker ovarium. Metode penelitian adalah quasy eksperimen, dengan sampel berjumlah 30 ibu sebagai eksperimen dan kontrol yang mengalami mual muntah kemoterapi kanker ovarium. Penelitian dilakukan di RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa efektifitas latihan Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) menurunkan mual muntah kemoterapi klien kanker ovarium (p value < 0,05).

EFFECTIVENESS OF PROGRESSIVE MUSCLE RELAXATION (PMR) EXERCISE ON VOCATIONAL QUALITY OF CHEMOTHERAPY OF OVARIAN CANCER PATIENTS

ABSTRACT

Ovarian cancer is a malignant tumor in ovaries is most often found in women aged 50-70 years old. Ovarian cancer can spread to other parts of the abdomen, pelvis, and through the lymph system and through blood vessels system can spread to the liver and lungs. The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of practice of Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) against nausea vomiting client chemotherapy of ovarian cancer. The research method is the quasy experiments, with a sample of 30 women as an experiment and as a control who experience nausea vomiting of chemotherapy of ovarian cancer. Research is conducted at Arifin Achmad hospital Pekanbaru. The results showed, that the effectiveness of practice of Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) decreases the nausea vomiting client chemotherapy of ovarian cancer (p value < 0.05).
