Abstract
Manajemen diabetes mellitus menjadi sangat krusial di lakukan mengingat banyak komplikasi yang akan timbul dari penyakit ini. Family based diabetes self-management merupakan salah satu strategi untuk mengoptimalkan proses pengobatan individu dengan diabetes mellitus. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis efektifitas family based diabetes self-management education terhadap self-care dan kualitas hidup pasien diabetes mellitus di kecamatan parado bima. Rancangan penelitian yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu quasi experiment dengan desain one group pre post experimental design dengan repeated measurement. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu 51 responden tetapi hanya 43 reponden yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian. Data di kumpulkan melalui POSBINDU PTM dan home visit ke rumah responden. Penelitian ini melakukan pengukuran sebanyak tiga kali yaitu sebelum intervensi, satu minggu setelah intervensi dan dua minggu setelah intervensi. Tekhnik sampling yang di gunakan yaitu purposive sampling dan Analisa data yang di pakai uji annova repeated measurement. Analisa deskriptif didapatkan bahwa penurunan rata-rata total skor kadar glukosa darah, kolesterol dan terdapat peningkatan rata-rata total skor self-care dan kualitas hidup. Hasil uji statistik didapatkan bahwa p value <0,05 pada semua variabel yang berarti family based diabetes self-management education efektif dalam menurunkan kadar glukosa darah (p value<0,000), kolesterol (p value<0,000) dan meningkatkan self-care (p value<0,000) serta kualitas hidup (p value<0,000). family based diabetes self-management education efektif dalam menurunkan kadar glukosa darah, kolesterol dan meningkatkan self-care serta kualitas hidup.
