KELAS LAKTASI DAN PENDAMPINGAN PADA IBU MENYUSUI DI PUSKESMAS ROWOSARI SEMARANG

Abstract


Menyusui merupakan cara pemenuhan kebutuhan nutrisi bagi bayi baru lahir dan cara terbaik untuk memberikan perhatian pada awal kehidupan seorang anak yang disertai dengan sebuah perhatian sederhana, cerdas serta terjangkau namun membawa manfaat besar bagi perkembangan dan pertumbuhan anak. ASI berperan serta dalam perkembangan kognitif, sensorik, motorik dan memberikan perlindungan terhadap infeksi dan penyakit kronis. Data dari Puskesmas Rowosari disebutkan bahwa pada tahun 2019 ada 2602 bayi yang berumur 0—6 bulan, bayi yang mendapatkan ASI eksklusif sampai umur 4 bulan 0,49% dan yang mendapatkan ASI eksklusif sampai umur 6 bulan baru 0,018%. Hasil studi pendahuluan yang diperoleh data bahwa masih ada ibu yang tidak memberikan ASI nya secara eksklusif, masih ada anggapan bahwa kolostrum adalah susu basi yang harus dibuang. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang menyusui dengan melibatkan kader sebagai orang terdekat yang akan memberikan pendampingan pada ibu menyusui. Program pengabdian masyarakat yang diimplementasikan adalah pembentukan kelas laktasi dan pendampingan pada ibu menyusui. Pelaksanaan program kelas laktasi diawali dengan pengkajian, ceramah menegnai konsep menyusui dan ASI eksklusif, serta latihan kader terkait kelas laktasi. Pembentukan kelas ibu menyusui dan pendampingan menyusui berkaitan erat dengan upaya untuk memberikan dukungan dan informasi yang dibutuhkan oleh ibu menyusui dalam proses menyusui.
