Abstract

This research is a class action research that has the aim to try to improve the understanding of mathematical literacy concepts and skills of students with scaffolding assisted by the Inspector and Worksheet on Comparison of Class VII A material at SMP Negeri 1 Jakenan in the 2018/2019 school year.
This study consists of 2 cycles, where each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. In this study two assessments were conducted in accordance with the 2013 curriculum, namely the assessment of skills and knowledge.
Based on the results of research and discussion described in chapter IV, it can be concluded that the use of scaffolding aided by PENILIK and LKS comparative material can improve the understanding of concepts and mathematical literacy skills of Grade VII A students of SMP Negeri 1 Jakenan 2018/2019 academic year, with an increase in the average student knowledge competence of 8.6% and an increase in the average value of skills of 8.54%.
