Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model problem contextual teaching learning terhadap representasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari jenis kelamin. Jenis penelitian ini mixed methods dengan desain penelitian explanatory sequential. Populasi penelitian yaitu siswa SMP Negeri 10 Kendari. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penelitian yaitu dua siswa berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan dua siswa berjenis kelamin perempuan. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis inferensial, deskriptif dan naratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model problem contextual teaching learning dalam pembelajaran matematika berpengaruh positif terhadap representasi matematis siswa di SMP Negeri 10 Kendari, secara khusus diinterpretasikan bahwa ternyata representasi matematis subjek perempuan lebih baik daripada subjek laki-laki.
