Penerapan massage abdomen dan perubahan derajat konstipasi pada pasien paliatif: studi kasus

Abstract


Konstipasi merupakan salah satu masalah yang sering dialami pasien perawatan paliatif. Penatalaksanaan konstipasi di rumah sakit umumnya masih berfokus pada terapi farmakologis. Studi ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan massage abdomen dan perubahan derajat konstipasi pada pasien paliatif. Penulisan menggunakan desain studi kasus dengan pendekatan proses keperawatan. Subjek studi terdiri dari tiga pasien paliatif dengan glioma malignant yang mengalami konstipasi. Intervensi diberikan selama tujuh hari dengan frekuensi dua kali sehari selama 15 menit. Penilaian menggunakan Bristol Stool Consistency Scale (BSCS) dan Constipation Scoring System (CSS). Setelah intervensi, seluruh pasien menunjukkan perbaikan pola eliminasi: BSCS berubah dari tipe 1 menjadi tipe 4, sedangkan skor CSS menurun dari 17 menjadi 11, 17 menjadi 10, dan 16 menjadi 8. Pada tiga kasus ini, penerapan massage abdomen diikuti oleh perbaikan konsistensi feses dan skor konstipasi; temuan bersifat deskriptif dan tidak membuktikan hubungan kausal.
