GAMBARAN PERSEPSI SUAMI PASANGAN USIA SUBUR TENTANG KONTRASEPSI VASEKTOMI DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS KENDAL 01 KABUPATEN KENDAL

Abstract

Persepsi adalah pengalaman tentang objek, peristiwa, atau hubungan-hubungan yang diperoleh dengan menyimpulkan informasi dan menafsirkannya. Kontrasepsi pria yang paling efektif adalah vasektomi. Vasektomi merupakan suatu metode kontrasepsi minor pada pria yang sangat aman dan sederhana tanpa melakukan anastesi umum. Partisipasi suami pasangan usia subur (PUS) dalam menggunakan kontrasepsi vasektomi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kendal 01 Kabupaten Kendal pada bulan Oktober 2014 hanya 0,74%, hal ini disebabkan karena sebagian besar suami PUS memiliki persepsi yang tidak baik tentang vasektomi. Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan persepsi suami PUS tentang kontrasepsi vasektomi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kendal 01 Kabupaten Kendal pada bulan Juni 2015.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif survey, populasi sejumlah 7946 suami PUS di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kendal 01. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 99 suami PUS, dengan teknik random strata proporsional.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar suami PUS memiliki persepsi tidak baik tentang vasektomi yaitu sebanyak 76 (76,8%). Disarankan untuk semua suami PUS dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang kontrasepsi vasektomi dengan harapan dapat menapis persepsi tidak baik tentang kontrasepsi vasektomi sehingga bersedia berpartisipasi aktif menjadi akseptor kontrasepsi vasektomi dan tenaga kesehatan dapat meningkatkan mutu pelayanan kesehatan khususnya yang berhubungan dengan kontrasepsi vasektomi.

Perception is the experience of objects, events or relationships obtained by concluding information and interpreting them. The most effective male contraception is vasectomy. Vasectomy is a minor contraception method which is highly secure and simple without any general anesthesia. Participation of vasectomy contraception in Kendal Health Center 01, October 2014 was only 0,74 %, it happened because there was negative perception of vasectomy towards husband of the reproductive age couple.
