Kecanduan Internet pada Anak Sekolah Selama Pandemi Covid-19

Abstract


Pandemi telah berlangsung hampir dua tahun, pembatasan aktivitas meningkatkan penggunaan internet di kalangan anak sekolah. Penggunaan internet yang berlebihan sering dikaitkan dengan kondisi kesehatan negatif, termasuk tekanan fisik dan emosional (misalnya, kecemasan, depresi), dan risiko menjadi kecanduan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk ganbaran kecanduan internet pada anak sekolah menangah pertama selama pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel 344 anak sekolah di Kota Pontianak dengan teknik snowball. Penelitian ini menggunakan Chen Internet Addiction Scale (CIAS) dalam versi Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil didapatkan mayoritas anak menengah pertama 269 (78,2%) mengalami kecanduan atas penggunaan internet dimana laki-laki yang mengalami kecanduan sebanyak 155 (57,6%), beragama islam sebanyak 252 (77,5%), dengan jenjang kelas terbanyak pada kelas 3/IX sebanyak 103 (77,4%), untuk durasi penggunaan terbanyak selama 3-8 jam/hari 189 (74,1%) dan mayoritas anak menegah pertama dengan aktivitas penggunaan internet untuk sosial media, hiburan, pendidikan dan game online (78,2%). Analisa data univariat berbentuk distribusi frekuensi untuk karakteristik anak sekolah dan kecanduan internet. Penggunaan internet telah berkembang selama pandemi COVID-19, termasuk frekuensi dan durasi pada anak menengah pertama yang menyebabkan kecanduan.
