KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH DAN ARGUMENTASI ILMIAH SISWA SMA NEGERI 1 TARAKAN DINAMIKA GERAK ROTASI

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan argumentasi dan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi gerak rotasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif survey melibatkan 60 siswa SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan. Pada siswa diberikan 5 soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan 2 soal argumentasi ilmiah dan diberi waktu 90 menit untuk menyelesaikannya. Rata–rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa adalah 31,2 (41,6%) dengan penjabaran tiap indikator adalah sebagai berikut Useful Description 1,34 (26,8%), Spesific Application of Physics 2,3 (46%), dan Mathematical Procedures 2,6 (52%). Rata–rata argumentasi ilmiah adalah 45,5 dan kualitas argumentasi ilmiah siswa hanya berada pada level 1-3 saja.
