Pelatihan Teknologi Tepat Guna Hydromodelling Di SMK Perkapalan Hang Tuah Tanjung Uban Bintan Untuk Mempersiaplan Kepribadian Unggul di Abad 21

Abstract
Kesesuaian teknologi hanya dapat dinilai dalam konteks keseluruhan proses pembangunan sosial dan ekonomi. Sarana penilaian meliputi penilaian teknologi dimana seseorang mengkaji pengaruh luas dari suatu teknologi, dan analisis peluang sosio-ekonomi dimana seseorang memulai dari kebutuhan sosial dan mencari solusi teknologi. Integrasi dan keseimbangan berbagai tingkat teknologi sama pentingnya dengan pemilihan teknologi individual. Insinyur Unggul di Abad 21 tidak mendesain untuk komunitas, namun mendesain bersama komunitas dan memungkinkan desain oleh komunitas. Dengan pelatihan dan pendidikan yang tepat, insimyur dapat membantu mengubah komunitas menjadi lebih baik dengan membekali anggota komunitas untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mereka sendiri dan menerapkan respons desain mereka sendiri. Institusi Perguruan Tinggi hadir di tengah masyarakat memiliki peran yang sangat besar dalam membangun bangsa, Perguruan Tinggi juga menempati posisi strategis dalam melakukan perubahan dalam masyarakat melalui fungsi transformasi Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM), Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEK) dan sosial melalui implementasi kegiatan Tridharma yang meliputi pendidikan, penelitian, dan pengabdian masyarakat. Dengan latar belakang tersebut maka Program Studi Teknik Perkapalan Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji melaksanakan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat berupa pelatihan Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG) yang berupa pelatihan pembuatan model kapal atau dikenal dengan istilah Hydromodelling di SMK Perkapalan Hang Tuah Tanjung Uban, Bintan, Kepulauan Riau. Adapun tahapan pelatihan meliputi memperkenalkan wawasan dan teknologi kemaritiman, menjelaskan bagian-bagian kapal dan selanjutnya memberikan pelatihan terkait perancangan dan produksi kapal. Pelatihan telah mendapatkan sambutan baik dari pihak sekolah dan para siswa yang ditampilkan dengan antusiasme dalam melaksanakan setiap tahapan pelatihan.
